I just want to document that I LOVE working with my brass players. They are crazy rambunctious, but so eager to learn. I love that I get to teach them everything I wish I had learned at a younger age. I have the chance to save them from the bad habits that could ruin their natural talent. I am so pleased that even in 7th grade my brass section has a pretty decent sound. They understand balance and are learning to be active listeners. We do long tones and flexibility studies everyday and it's seriously paying off- they are going to be killer as 8th graders. This is my happy thought for today.
